Overdriveart has developed eco-friendly solutions that reduce environmental impact without compromising service quality. We use low-emission vehicles, recyclable packaging materials, CO₂ emissions offsetting, and optimized logistics to minimize empty trips.
Our eco-friendly art logistics targets museums, galleries, and institutions seeking to adopt more sustainable practices in handling their artworks. Our commitment to green art transport also includes environmental consulting upon request, helping clients certify the reduced impact of their cultural shipments.
Sustainable transport and groupage for low-impact art
Overdriveart is firmly committed to reducing the environmental impact of logistics, consistently promoting a company philosophy centered on efficiency and environmental respect.
Our company was founded with the goal of offering eco-friendly transport for artworks, introducing the concept of groupage as a practical alternative to exclusive transport, which is often costly and less sustainable. We offer weekly departures to major European cities, optimizing every trip to reduce consumption, costs, and waste.
This method also proves ideal for large-scale events such as fairs and art exhibitions, where shared transport allows for more responsible resource management.
Additionally, we are part of the Gallery Climate Coalition, an international network actively working to tackle environmental challenges in the art world. This involvement allows us not only to stay updated on the best industry practices but also to contribute directly to positive and lasting change.
Our 5R Policy
- REFUSE – RIFIUTARE the use of single-use plastics within the office and, whenever possible, in the packaging of artworks.
- REDUCE – RIDURRE l’uso di imballaggi monouso al minimo. Utilizziamo anche patatine in polistirolo riciclato FLO-PAK GREEN e pluriball 100% riciclato .
- REUSE – RIUTILIZZARE packaging materials and wooden crates. We manage soft packaging materials (bubble wrap, tissue paper, Tyvek) in the best possible way, reusing them multiple times for artwork packaging. We never discard wooden crates but reuse them, adapting and selling them to clients at advantageous prices. - REPURPOSE – REIMPIEGARE waste materials and find new solutions for packaging based on available materials. We keep all scraps of bubble wrap, cardboard, and Tyvek to use them for packaging smaller artworks. We reuse cardboard boxes delivered by couriers or that contained other materials to create new packaging.
- RECYCLE – RICICLARE all waste materials properly. Waste separation is carried out with great care in our company.
Over the next five years, we plan to completely eliminate the use of single-use plastics for packaging and to purchase hybrid vehicles for artwork transport.
